Join us in our mission to educate our community about the individual and communal benefits of a future where animal exploitation is unnecessary.
Our sanctuary residents are advocates for fungi and plant-based diets. These diets improve your overall health, reduce the demand for animal products, and lower the environmental impact of animal agriculture.
We're here to save neglected, abused, and unwanted farmed animals, giving them a forever home while offering alternatives to farmers and consumers.
We believe that information drives action, so follow us to learn more on what you can do drive real outcomes.
The Mini Mountain Farm Sanctuary is committed to rescuing exploited or abandoned farmed animals while advocating for and implementing sustainable agriculture practices.
We focus on pioneering mycological and agroforestry practices to replace animal agriculture with profitable, ethical alternatives.
Our mission is to educate and transition the agriculture industry toward a future where animal exploitation is unnecessary.
Meet Bess. Bess is a foundational resident of our farm sanctuary. Having seen firsthand the impact of factory farming practices being taught to the next generation of farmers, we took the initiative in saving both Bess and her daughter Bingo to give them a friend, not food, future. While the hundred-plus piglets these two girls produced have suffered a different fate, these two are no longer destined for your plate.
Rescue as many animals as we can support on our 25-acre farm in the Catskill region of New York.
To be clear, as farmers, we want to continue to be food producers. Factory farming and it's exploitation of animals is the primary issue we're up against.
We believe in producing food in concert with considerations for the environment, public health, and animal welfare.
As we validate systems thinking for ethical farming practices, we partner with other farmers to implement systems on their own farms to further our impact.
Sponsor a resident, attend a talk, and learn more about how your daily habits can help fuel the change we need for a healthier, happier, and more sustainable future.
A forever home for farmed animals.
We have a foundational herd that pre-dates the formation of our organization but that is core to our mission. Our Nigerian Dwarf and Kunekune herd transformed our perspective on farmed animals. They are now tasked with being companions to our farmed animal rescues.
In addition to our foundational companion herd, we have partnered with organizations to give a home to relocated feral cats from New York City through a barn cat program, a rabbit previously used in meat production, and, of course, Bess & Bingo.
